What Happens to an Old Trampoline After Removal in Silverdale?
When our crew hauls away your old trampoline as part of our trampoline removal service in Silverdale, what actually happens to it? Here is exactly where each component goes.
The Steel Frame
The galvanised steel legs, support poles, and frame sections go to certified scrap metal recyclers in Kitsap County. Steel is infinitely recyclable — every pound diverted from landfill gets processed and reused in new steel products.
The Springs
Springs are also steel and go with the frame to scrap metal recycling. They are separated during processing and recovered with the rest of the ferrous metal.
The Mat and Safety Enclosure
The jumping mat (typically woven polypropylene) and safety net (nylon or polyester) are not currently recyclable through standard Kitsap County streams. These go to the transfer station as general waste. The foam padding around the frame edge is also general waste.
Working Trampolines
If the trampoline is in good condition — intact mat, working springs, undamaged enclosure — we assess for donation or resale before disposal. Trampolines in genuinely good shape are listed through local channels rather than going straight to the recycler. Call (360) 928-5949 to book.
