Step 1: Decide What You Are Keeping

Walk through the garage before cleanout day and pull out anything you want to keep. Set it aside clearly — in a corner, in the house, or on the driveway. Everything left in the garage is fair game for removal, so be deliberate about what stays.

Step 2: Separate Items That Can Be Donated

Tools in working condition, sporting goods, furniture, and small appliances are often accepted by Kitsap County thrift stores and donation centers. Setting these aside can reduce your removal volume — and sometimes your cost.

Step 3: Flag Hazardous Materials

Step 4: Clear a Path to the Garage

Step 5: Be Present or Leave Instructions
